Friend by association

I was on my Facebook account this afternoon and sifted though thousands of posts. I am not one of those people that read Facebook everyday. I am lucky to read my Facebook on a monthly basis. One of my friends posted something about getting a free malware scan. Well I say it is one of my friends but I have never actually met this friend. I accepted a friend invitation from them because they are a friend of a friend. I guess that is how Facebook works; friend by association.
