Helping Your Kids Find Reliable Online Information

For parents today, technology and the Internet are a part of everyday life. The same goes for our children: my daughter knows exactly how to use my iPhone to play her favorite video games. But as our children get older and start to rely on the their computers and the Internet for studying and learning, how can we make sure that they are getting online information that is reliable and accurate?

We all know that some people use open online encyclopedias almost exclusively when they need information. But how reliable can online information be when it comes from a source that anyone can edit and contribute to? There are better options out there, but many people simply do not know about them. For example, several universities have websites that are open to the public and full of reliable and useful online information.
